These days,people tend to live high pace life.They tend to walk fast,eat fast,and even talk fast.This kind of actions is caused by the will of saving time.Some people,however,misunderstand the concept of saving time.They think that saving time is to do things in a rush without considering things carefully,which would lead to a lot of mistakes.Actually,doing things in a slow pace and making sure that everything is right is the real saving time.
I'd like to give the example of my high school life.There were 7 subjects in high school and each of the teachers assigned a wide range of homework every day.In order to get to sleep early,some of the students do their homework without a thorough think.However,I never did so.I considered every question carefully and thoroughly,and tried to make sure that every answer of mine was right.I did it in this way because I know that I would learn nothing by work quickly and risk making mistakes,which is completely a waste of time.Later,the fact proved that I was right.Those who finished their homework quickly always got a much lower grade than I was.Maybe those students were still wondering:I did a lot of homework,but why did I still get a low grade?The answer is,they were aware of the quantity yet neglect the quality.They didn't pay enough time to thinking carefully,which is the most important process that can't be left out.Actually,spending time on thinking is exactly a way to saving time,since you can solve problem faster than before by thinking frequently.
When working in group,thinking slowly and making sure that everything is correct are especially important.If one of the members in group works so quickly and makes a mistake,it will affect all members’ works,because works in group are always inextricably linked with each other.In this way,everyone should treated their works carefully and slowly in order to cut down the possibility of making mistakes.Once the mistakes occur,all works have to revise,or even to be done all over again if serious.This also disobeys the original intention of saving time.
In conclusion,working quickly to sacrifice the quality of works is unworthy.It’s much better to work slowly to make sure that everything is correct,because it is efficient and saving time.
