今天做普林斯顿想撞墙,时态怎么回事啊,

后面是过去式,怎么前面是现在完成时呢?又不是客观事实用一般现在时.

The editor （had intended） to invite both （you and me ）to write for his newspaper :however ,（because of space constraints）,only one of us can submit an article.
后面的时态是can,前面用过去完成时怎么还选E了呢?

Lay 和 am tired 的时态不搭,为什么答案是把lay 变成lie,而不把am tired 变成was tired

好诡异啊..你给的页码和题号跟我PR完全不对应..难道是我的太旧了么..做过好久了..
1：现在完成时出现在插入语里,完全没有关系啊..插入语和主句构成松散的逻辑关系,两者的时态——除非主句和插入语都特别提到某一时间点——互相没有直接联系.
2：（这个还真不知道怎么讲,感觉而已..）can应该是陈述事实吧..而且sat中could一般都是表示语气的,can的过去式都是用was able to
3：没有特殊时间点的说明你为啥要用过去式..
4：你说的那个规律只是可能性..sat里有更重要的、不变的原则：and前后成分一致且表意相同（这个是老美的语言思维习惯）,E中and前后的loving and competent和engineer很明显成分不一致而且表达的也不是一个意思,所以是错的.
5：没有题目,不知道是啥..
