省去 '不方便的主语 ' 亦即是省去 (by them)
所以 it was believed 中的 it 其实是 ...that it was placed...中的 it\x14
也就是 head

feeding 是‘现在分词’
was 是完整的‘动词’
不能用 and 来连在一起
用另一个角度看
he pointed to a little girl 中的 是‘宾语’
不可以有 ‘完整的动词(was)
(1) 用for those (或类似的词)会较为适合
(2) interest in reviving 会较为适合
(3) 用they 来代表 no one 不好
