Mr Day was a teacher at a school in a big city on the north of England.He usually went to France or Germany(德国)for a few weeks during his summer holidays,and he spoke French and German quite well.But one year Mr Day said to one of his friend “I'm going to have a holiday in Anthens .But I don't speak Greek (希腊语),so I'll go to evening school and have some Greek lessons for a month before I go.” He studied very hard and passed his examinations quite well.Then his holidays began.He went to Greece When he came back a few weeks later ,his friend said to him,“Did you have any trouble with Greek when you were there,Dick?No,I didn't have any trouble when I was there.” answered Mr Day.“But the Greeks did!”
