In my opinion ,the system to choose lessons by students themselves has pros and cons.
Firstly,students clearly know the specific datas of the lessons which includes the names of the professors,the contents of the lessons.Secondly,students can choose the subjects which they are really interested in intead of the traditional teaching methods in their high school.Thirdly,it's also very convenient for the teachers in the university to find out what kinds of the subjects or teachers are popular among the students.
There are also many disadvantages for the system.On the one hand,some students may be very confused because they don't know many things about the subjects or the corresponding teachers,especially for the freshmen.Secondly,the system decides ,itself,cant provide the fair chances to all students to learn the knowledge and develop their abilities.
