　　【摘要】 习语是人们在劳动、生产和生活过程中长期社会实践的总结,是人类智慧的结晶.习语在形成过程中,受到了地域环境、饮食文化、宗教信仰、历史事件等诸多因素的影响.地理环境与人类的生存最密切相关,中英两国所处地理位置的不同,对汉英习语的形成影响很大.本文探讨了汉英习语中受地域环境影响的部分,旨在帮助学习者更深层地理解英汉两种不同语言及其文化,提高其跨文化交际能力.
