这一组词都可指“容忍”,“忍受”,经受某种痛苦的经历或压力.
bear 表示“忍受”、“忍耐”,是个普通用语,可以指忍受饥、寒、痛苦、困难、不幸、悔辱等.例如：
He cannot bear any more pain.他再也忍受不住痛苦了.
She couldn’t bear to be langhedat.她不能忍受被人取笑.
stand 表示“忍耐”时多用于口语,它和bear的意思相近.例如：
I can’t stand the hot weather.我不能忍受炎热的天气.
This plant can’t stand frost.这种植物经不住冻.
endure 指能够无怨言地忍受、忍耐.特指忍受大而持久的困难、灾祸等.例如：
He endured toothache and said .“Something unexpected may happen.”他忍着牙痛说：“天有不测风云.”

put up with指耐心“忍受”,含有“宽恕”、“不计较”之意,多用于口语和较小的事情.例如：
