Dear Kim:
everybody in Australia is very excited because we hace won our first ever Winter Olympics gold medal.It is on the news on televesion and on the rdio.Everybody is wery surprised because Australia doesn't have much snow and most Australia never ski or skate.Our winters are too warm fou snow.and our mountains aren't very high.
The way we won our first gold medal was very funny.Our speed skater was coming in last,and it was near the end of the race.Suddenly all the other skaters fell down,and our skater crossed the line first.He was very surprisde.Did you see it on you television news?
The next day we won another gold medal.This one was won by a girl who did ski jumping with lots of twists and ruins in the air.It looks very difficult to do.The most important part of the jump was to land properly when it was finished.Some of the other grils didn't land properly,so they got much lower scores.The Australia girl was wery excited when she won.She couldn't stop smiling and laughing.When she was presented with the medal and heard the national anthem,she cried,but we all knew she was happy.
I watched some of the other sports on television,too.I liked the slalom skiing where the skiers go very fast.When they fall over,they slide a long way down the hill!
Some of the sports are a bit boring to watch,and it must be very cold for the people who are there.I wonder what the organizers of the games would do if the snow meited?Does it snow where you live?Is it cold?What do you do when it snows?Please write and tell men.
