我想问下为什么不能用call on a doctor要call in a doctor.call on sb 不是也有拜访某人的意思吗?

call on a doctor:= (you) go to the doctor's office and see him/her there.

call in a doctor:= ask the doctor to come over to your house to treat you or a sich person (mostly by phone) 请医生上门出诊
再问：都可以的咯？那还有个问题。为什么是with the audience seating on chairs不是seated？
再答：效果一样，方式不同。我们多是到医院或诊所就医，应说：call on/ visit/ see a doctor. 西方多是私人医生，随时上门服务，随叫随到的，应说：call in a doctor. 希望我们也能 call in... 不可能！应说：with the audience sitting/ seated on chairs.
