1956年7月13日,第一批解放牌汽车在长春第一汽车制造厂试制成功.
　　世界上第一辆汽车是1885年诞生的,不久汽车就传到我国.解放前,我国的公路上,就像开办"万国汽车展览"一样,行驶着130多种不同牌号的汽车,但却没有一种是我国制造的.解放牌汽车的问世,结束了我国不能生产汽车的历史.
　　第一批驶下生产线的解放牌汽车叫CA10型,这是一款以苏联吉斯150为蓝本制造的汽车,它自重3900公斤,装有90匹马力、四行程六缸发动机,载重量为4吨,最大时速65公里,经过改进,它更适合我国的路况以及大规模建设的需要.
　　第一批下线的解放牌卡车,参加了1956年的国庆阅兵式,之后一部分汽车在天安门被展出,在那裏,无数群众争睹国产汽车的风采.
