自20世纪90年代中期以来,我国城乡居民收入水平不断提高,居民消费方式发生了根本性转折,从限量供应的抑制型消费,转为敞开供应的自主型消费.在消费结构方面,城镇居民的恩格尔系数（食品支出占消费支出的比重）改革开放之前一直在57%以上,到1998年已降至44.5%,生活消费总体上已达到小康水平.但是,我们也清醒地看到,目前我国经济和社会生活中还存在一些突出的困难和问题.扩大国内需求,首先必须增加城乡居民特别是低收入群体的收入,培育和提高居民的购买力.要随着经济发展不断增加城乡居民收入,拓宽消费领域,优化消费结构,满足人们多样化的物质文化需求.
本文主要以目前农村居民消费为例,分析我国地区间消费存在的差异,以及形成这种差异的因素,并提出相应的政策建议以增大我国居民消费,促进经济发展.

Since middle period of 1990s,the income level of resident in urban and rural areas of our country is improving constantly,fundamental turn has happened in resident's consumption pattern,the inhibited type consumption that is supplied from limit,transfer to a acting on one's own type of sufficient supply and consume.In consumption structure,urban residents' Engel coefficient (proportion of food expenditure to consumption expenditure) has been above 57% all the time before reform and opening-up,has already dropped to 44.5% by 1998,living consumption has already reached the well-to-do level generally.However,we are fully aware,also there are some outstanding difficulties and problems in our country's economic and social life at present.Expand domestic demand,must increase the incomes of urban and rural residents especially low income colony at first,foster and improve residents' purchasing power.Increase urban and rural residents incomes with economic development constantly,widen the consumption field,optimize the structure of consumption,meet people's diversified material and culture demands.
This text mainly takes rural consumption of resident at present as an example,analyze that consumes the difference present among the areas of our country,and form the factor of this kind of difference,put forward the corresponding policy recommendations in order to increase the consumption of resident of our country,bring about an advance in economy.
