Can death be sleep, when life is but a dream, 当生命只是一个梦,死亡就是昏睡一场,
And scenes of bliss pass as a phantom by? 难道甜蜜的往昔只是瞬息的幻象 ?
The transient pleasures as a vision seem, 似乎过去了的快乐还在遥远的彼端,
And yet we think the greatest pain's to die. 然而,我想不会有痛比死亡更富丽.
II.
How strange it is that man on earth should roam, 人啊,多么奇怪,要在世间徘徊,
And lead a life of woe, but not forsake 虽然让苦涩填满了生命,希望却没有枯萎,
His rugged path; nor dare he view alone 他摇摆在崎岖的小路,昏然间看穿了未来的命运,
His future doom which is but to awake. 但是,当他醒来,孤独而不堪一击.
