The first time I knew about English is about 17 years ago, when I was in primary school, grade 4.
At that time my brother was in middle school and they were have English lessons. One day, I went to my brother's home to play with him, he was reading English when I got there, I was very interested in what he was reading and asked him to teach me, "it's now time for you to start learning English" said my brother, "you will have English Lessons when you enter middle school", however, I would not listen to him, "please, teach me" I said to him with tears in my eyes, he found that I was really serious, then he said, "ok, but I also just started learning, I can only teach the 26 Alphabetics", "thank you so much, my brother" I shouted, I was so happy at that moment, for the next 3 days, I followed him whereever he went, reciting the 26 Alphabetics, it was really hard for me to remember all of them at that time, but I never thought I would give up, on the 4th day, I finally became able to recite all the 26 Alphabetics, at that time I felt I have mastered English language, but that's not true, I had just started, I would still have a long way to go, anyway, I got started.
A few days later, I got an old English book from my aunt, as I remember, the name of the book is "Basic English", that was really a good book, and was really helpful for me, I learned a lot from that book, and I made great progress quickly, from that time, I kept learning English and never stoped, even now, I am still learning, as is said"it's never too late to learn", "live and learn", I know there is no ending for language study, I will keep learing English, until the end of my life.
